Ministry extends relief aid to pastors in rural Uganda: ‘You’re not alone’

On 6th August, 2021 Pacesetters’ Initiative for Africa, a youth outreach and evangelistic ministry,
started a drive to reach out to local pastors with food supplies.

“We are not out to help pastors, rather out of a conviction that God laid on my heart, we take the opportunity in a crisis such as the one the whole world is facing right now, to stand with the men and women who shepherd God’s people,” noted the ministry team leader Mr. Peter Dusabe.

Following the Presidential address on COVID19, churches and schools are still closed in a bid to control the further spread of the Corona virus.

Through their Ministry base in western Uganda with operations in Mbarara, Isingiro and Kisoro districts, the ministry meets 5 to 10 pastors every week to encourage, appreciate and pray with the pastors after which the pastors are handed food items.

By the end of the 60 days, the ministry targets to reach out to 40 pastors and their families.

Since 2012, Pacesetters’ Initiative for Africa has shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with an estimated 25,000 youth in schools and universities inviting them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Next year, Pacesetters’ Initiative for Africa will celebrate its 10th anniversary, as it continues to strengthen its mission to point the generation to Christ.

“As a ministry, we continue to dedicate our lives and every effort to serve the cause of Christ in a generation where many live as lovers of themselves, and inviting every boy and girl to the foot of the cross where forgiveness and mercy are readily available for all who genuinely come to Christ,” revealed Mr. Dusabe, as the ministry works towards establishing the Pacesetters World Training and Evangelism Centre to train and equip missionaries who will shine the light of the gospel across the six continents of the world.
